Isthmus Partners, LLC is a growing independent investment management firm founded in May of 2014. The firm is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and provides customized investment management solutions for individuals, families and institutions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in providing client servicing from new relationship onboarding to ongoing account administration. This role is critical to the overall leverage of portfolio managers of the firm. This position reports directly to the Director of Advisory Services and works closely on a day-to-day basis with firm portfolio managers and Senior Client Service Administrators.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various internal team members to provide a superior client service experience.
  • Monitor, assess and maintain client accounts on an ongoing basis for compliance, documentation and data quality.
  • Support business development initiatives of the firm.
  • On-board new client relationships and system set-up.
  • Effectively utilize firm systems such as, but not limited to, trading, custodial, CRM and client portal to improve support capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Effectively use firm technology to improve efficiencies of all associates.
  • Coordinating client meeting per client-specific documented frequency.
  • Prepare client meeting materials on a timely basis.
  • Analyze and resolve client service and/or system-related issues in a proactive manner.
  • Convey a sense of urgency and bring issues to closure despite obstacles and opposition.
  • Demonstrate sound decisions making and strategic thinking, which reflects an understanding of the firm’s business and its priorities to its clients.
  • Notarization of documents as needed.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the firm’s portfolio management systems including Moxy, APX, firm composites, revenue collection, FactSet and GIPS verification. This position reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with the firm’s portfolio managers. 

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for execution of the buying and selling of securities and mutual funds for firm clients.
  • Set-up new accounts in the firm’s portfolio management systems.
  • Composite analytics and portfolio analytics with quarterly reporting at the firm and composite level.
  • Ongoing Composite maintenance.
  • Preparation of client reports that require attribution and/or custom work using Factset or other firm tools.
  • Development and maintenance of policies, procedures and disclosures related to the firm’s GIPS verification.
  • Manage client billing working closely with portfolio managers verifying fee schedules, billing amounts and reconciling fee and brokerage accounts.
  • Manage pre and post-trade activities including, but not limited to, security set-up, trade set-up, drift reports and maintaining the trade blotter.
  • Maintain unsupervised asset list.
  • Populate institutional databases.
  • Assist with firm Requests for Proposals.
  • Work closely with the CCO and COO assessing that areas of responsibility are in compliance with firm and regulatory policies.
  • Training other associates in key areas of responsibilities in order to have redundancy in place.
  • Ad hoc portfolio/composite assignments.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

 

Required attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to listen well with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills with a command of MS office products especially excel. 
  • Process driven and results oriented working well independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization and time management skills and a proven drive to consistently follow-through.
  • Ability to produce accurate work in a timely fashion under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Must have an undergraduate degree preferably in business, math or sciences.
